Communities
One of the primary ways that Solace Ministries reaches out to people is through the establishment of communities. Solace has established 57 communities throughout the country of Rwanda . In 1994 the family structure became non-existent for many. Therefore, through the establishment of the communities, people have once again started to feel a sense of belonging.

In 1994 the family structure became non-existent for many. Therefore, through the establishment of the communities, people have once again started to feel a sense of belonging.
With the help of these communities, we are seeing children be educated, adults coming together to help parent orphans, those who are sick being cared for, and people gathering together to celebrate marriages and to grieve during times of bereavement.
Each community has a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. With this structure we have seen communities flourish and grow so much. Not only are the communities good for those who are members, but we have seen government officials greatly admire the work that Solace is doing and promise to help when they can.
